Financial Institution eServices

Financial Institution eService is an internet-based secure messaging system. It gives both financial institutions and the department the ability to receive and send information easily.

The Australian Government is committed to reducing ‘red tape’ for business, and the Minister for Human Services is eager to reduce the number of letters we send to organisations, businesses, and customers each year.

We request information from financial institutions for many reasons. We use this information to verify customer data as part of our ongoing data matching, compliance reviews, and fraud investigations.

Financial Institutions that have developed a Financial Institution Exchange (FIE) tool in agreement with the department can send information to us securely through this service.
