Local Advisory Group

The Logan Local Advisory Group has developed a strategic plan, and has identified some key priorities which it will work to achieve in the local community:

  • to establish linkages to industry and the local business sector and to use these relationships to improve local employment outcomes
  • to focus on addressing barriers that prevent access to services, social inclusion and employment such as mental health issues, homelessness and transport
  • to support increased participation of the most disadvantaged groups in the diverse Logan community including young parents and jobless families by identifying service gaps and developing sustainable outcomes
  • to build a community value of education, specifically the completion of Year 12 or equivalent
  • to increase the awareness of government and other funding sources available to increase collaboration and partnerships across service providers, and to achieve employment and education outcomes within the community.
