DHS Reconciliation Action Plan
Launched in March 2012, our Reconciliation Action Plan replaces the previously separate Centrelink, Medicare Australia, CRS Australia and Child Support Agency Reconciliation Action Plans.
The plan outlines a three-year vision – including how we will go about achieving it—of building on a culture of mutually respectful relationships, demonstrating understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ culture, and creating improved opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples – particularly our staff.
The plan supports the Australian Government’s commitment to Closing the Gap by improving access to services and opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, matching those enjoyed by all Australians.
