Claiming Crisis Payment
You must submit your claim for Crisis Payment within 7 days after the event that caused the crisis.
Intent to claim
You should register an intent to claim Crisis Payment. This will help you get paid from the earliest possible date.
You can claim Crisis Payment in person at your nearest service centre or by phone.
Print and complete a:
- Claim for Crisis Payment—extreme circumstances and domestic violence form
- Claim for Crisis Payment—humanitarian entrants form
- Claim for Crisis Payment—prison release form
If you do not have access to a printer, you can pick up the form from your nearest service centre or call Employment Services on 132 850 and they can send one to you.
You will need to provide proof of identity.
Submit your claim
We will inform you whether your claim is successful. If you are eligible for Crisis Payment, we will tell you when your payment will start and how much you will get paid.
