Income Management—voluntary

How this affects your payments

If you choose to volunteer for Income Management, 50 per cent of your payments and 100 per cent of any advance and lump-sum payments you receive will be income-managed. The rest of your payments will be paid to you in the usual way. Your income-managed money can be used to pay for essentials such as rent, bills, and food that you or your family need.

How long your payments will be income-managed for

If you choose to have your payments income-managed, you have to stay on Income Management for a minimum of 13 weeks. After the first 13 weeks, you can choose how long you want your payments to be income-managed for. When you decide that you can pay for your expenses yourself without Income Management, you need to visit us to cancel your Voluntary Income Management agreement.
