Austudy

Austudy can provide financial help to people 25 years of age or over who are studying or undertaking an Australian Apprenticeship full-time.

You may be able to get Austudy if you are:

• 25 years of age or over
• studying full-time in an approved course at an approved educational institution
• undertaking a full-time Australian Apprenticeship

Approved courses

Approved courses include full-time secondary school courses, graduate courses, undergraduate courses, some masters degrees, some diplomas and some vocational and further education courses.

Other important information

There is no parental means test for Austudy however your previous studies may affect whether you can get Austudy and how long you can receive it for.
