Disability Support Pension

Disability Support Pension provides financial support to people with a physical, intellectual or psychiatric condition that prevents them from working, or for people who are permanently blind.

You may be able to get Disability Support Pension if you are ill, injured or have a disability. To do so you have to be an Australian resident and meet other eligibility criteria. The Disability Support Pension is income and assets tested.

If you are eligible, you may receive a fortnightly Disability Support Pension, the Pharmaceutical Allowance and a Pensioner Concession Card. If you resume work, you can still receive the Disability Support Pension depending on the hours you work and how much you earn.
