Education Entry Payment
Education Entry Payment is available to people receiving specific income support payments to help with the cost of study.
If you are receiving Newstart Allowance, Parenting Payment (partnered), Partner Allowance or Widow Allowance and you enrol to study in an approved course, you may be eligible for the Education Entry Payment to help cover your study costs.
To be paid, you must:
- be studying, or about to start studying, a government-approved course in Australia
- have not received Education Entry Payment in the last 12 months
- have continuously received your main payment for at least 12 months
You must also meet the residency requirements of your main payment.
You do not have to make a claim to receive the Education Entry Payment as your claim will automatically be assessed by centrelink once you provide proof of enrolment in an approved course of study.
