
Training Supplement
The Training Supplement is a payment that helps cover the costs of study for eligible job seekers who commence approved study courses between 1 July 2009 and 30 June 2011.
If you are receiving Newstart Allowance or Parenting Payment, you may be able to get the Training Supplement.
The Training Supplement a fortnightly payment made to eligible Newstart or Parenting Payment recipients undertaking approved study to attain Year 12 qualifications or upgrade existing trade qualifications to improve employment opportunities. The approved course must:
- be less than 12 months duration,
- commence between 1 July 2009 and 30 June 2011
- be classified as full-time to meet the job seeker's participation requirements.
