Benefits and services if you are working past age pension age
We provide benefits and services to older Australians who choose to work past age pension age.
The Pension Bonus Scheme provides a lump sum incentive for older Australians who remain in the workforce past age pension age and defer claiming Age Pension. The scheme has closed to new entrants who did not qualify for Age Pension before 20 September 2009.
Pension Bonus Top-up allows some people to receive an extra amount on top of the Pension Bonus they already received. Also, the Work Bonus is an incentive for pensioners of age pension age to remain in the workforce.
Financial information services
You can attend a free Financial Information Service (FIS) seminar. Our Financial Information Service officers can show you how to make informed financial decisions and help you understand the consequences of those decisions.
Talk to a FIS Officer
You can phone 132 300 and ask to speak to a FIS officer. If possible, your questions will be answered over the phone. If there are complex issues to be discussed, the FIS officer may offer to arrange an appointment for you.
