Centrelink office opening in Caboolture
Residents in Caboolture are enjoying better access to a wide range of government services with the opening of a new Centrelink Customer Service Centre in the community.
Minister for Human Services, Senator Joe Ludwig, joined Member for Longman, Jon Sullivan, to officially open the centre at 20-22 George Street, Caboolture.
“The Rudd Government is committed to making it easier for all Australians to access a wide range of government services face-to-face,” Senator Ludwig said. “People shouldn’t have to visit multiple offices to get the assistance they need.”
“This new centre offers the full range of Centrelink services for families, seniors, young people, students, jobseekers, people with a disability and carers.”
“Local residents can access many of these services online through the centre’s new eService arrangements, with four computers and telephones on site for customer use.”
“eServices are a quick and convenient way for Centrelink customers to report, update or simply view their details, potentially skipping long waiting lines.”
Mr Sullivan said the new centre has been outfitted with the latest technology to meet the growing local demand for better access to government services.
‘With a range of access to other government services, including Australian Hearing and the Child Support Agency, this centre is making it easier for locals to do their business face-to-face,” Mr Sullivan said.
“I welcome this addition to the local community, which is providing quality service to its customers.”
