Providing voluntary work opportunities

A not for profit organisation may be able to register with us to provide voluntary work opportunities for eligible job seekers.

Voluntary job opportunities help eligible job seekers gain work experience. You can check if your organisation is registered with us by calling the job seekers’ line on 132 850.

If your organisation is not registered, you can submit a Request for Organisation Approval form in person at a service centre or by post. We will contact you with the outcome.

Eligible job seekers may be able to meet their Mutual Obligation Requirements by working voluntarily for you. Before they start, we need to verify that the position is suitable for them and meets our requirements.

Each individual job seeker wanting to undertake voluntary work must submit a Verification of Voluntary Work form. The form needs to be completed by your organisation and the job seeker. The job seeker can submit the completed form in person at a service centre or by post.

Once we have verified the position, we will contact the job seeker to tell them the outcome.
