Description of Measure

This measure allows patients who live in rural and regional Australia to access Medicare benefits for video consultations with mental health professionals.

This measure will start on 1 November 2017 and is available in relation to consultations with mental health professionals including psychologists, social workers and occupational therapists.

This measure will increase access to psychological services for those who live in rural and remote areas and have limited access to these services.
