Compliance Program 2013-15

This document outlines key compliance activities the Department of Human Services will undertake for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 financial years.

It also highlights the diversity and range of compliance activities we undertake and reassures both the government and customers that the department is taking preventative measure to protect the integrity of its service delivery and government outlays.

Most people are honest and want to do the right thing. However, some people don't fulfil their obligations. Not complying with obligations can be as simple as failing to report income or assets, or as complex as health professionals incorrectly using a provider number.

Our focus is to educate people and provide them with the information they need to comply and meet their obligations. We are committed to reducing debt and establishing early interventions to support compliance.
