myGov accounts

You can recover your username or reset your password by following the forgotten your username or forgotten your password links on the myGov website.

With a myGov account you can access multiple Australian Government online accounts including Medicare, Child Support and Centrelink with a single username and password.

myGov help topics are available on the myGov website to help you create your account and link your member services.

The myGov help desk operates from 7 am to 10 pm Monday to Friday, and 10 am to 5 pm Saturday to Sunday. Call 132 307 and select Option 1.

Centrelink online accounts

Lost account details including password reset

If you have forgotten your password you can reset your password. Read our online help guide for instructions on how to reset your forgotten Centrelink password online account password.

If you have forgotten your Customer Access Number (CAN) or temporary password and haven't enrolled any secret questions and answers, you will need to re-register for an online account.

Medicare online accounts

To access your Medicare online accounts, you need to create a myGov account and link to Medicare. Read more if you need help on the myGov website.
