Referral by child protection authority for Income Management

Your payments can be income managed if your local child protection authority refers you.

This is because the case worker believes Income Management can help you and your family.

If you do not agree with their decision you need to contact them.

You’ll be income managed for 3 to 12 months. After that, a case worker from your local child protection authority will review your progress. Depending on the result, Income Management may continue.

What happens to your money

We’ll manage:

  • 70% of your payments, and
  • 100% of any advance and lump sum payments

The rest of your payments will be paid as usual.
