Get involved in DonateLife Week 2016
DonateLife Week, dedicated to promoting organ and tissue donation in Australia, starts on Sunday 31 July 2016.
There are currently around 1,500 Australians on transplant waiting lists. Just one organ and tissue donor can transform the lives of 10 or more people. Register as an organ donor today and discuss your decision with your family. You could one day save a life.
You can record your donation decision on the Australian Organ Donor Register (AODR) using:
Link your registration to your Medicare record so if you change your Medicare information, your AODR record will also be updated.
Even if you’ve previously registered your donation decision while applying for or renewing your driver licence, you should still register on the national AODR. The AODR lets authorised personnel check your donation decision regardless of the state or territory you register in.
Already registered on the AODR? It’s a good time to update your registration if your details have changed and remind your family of your decision.
