Has your child had a health check?

Your 4 year old child needs to have a health check for you to get Family Tax Benefit (FTB) Part A supplement.

A health check is important. It gives you peace of mind that your child is healthy and ready to learn when they start school.

Your child will need a health check if you or your partner get FTB Part A and:

  • an income support payment such as Parenting Payment or Newstart Allowance, or
  • a payment from the Department of Veteran’s Affairs

You need to let us know the health check has been done by 30 June 2017. If you don’t tell us, you won’t get the supplement when we balance your payments at the end of the financial year.

The easiest way to tell us is by using your Centrelink online account through myGov.

If your child does need a health check, there will be a reminder in your account asking you to confirm that your child has had their health check.
