It’s that time of year again, tax time
Make sure you take the right steps this tax time when you submit your Medicare Entitlement Statement application.
If you’re not eligible for Medicare, you may be exempt from paying a Medicare levy. When doing your tax return you can request a Medicare Entitlement Statement from us.
There’s a new Application for a Medicare entitlement statement form you need to email or post to us, using the address on the form. Your tax agent can help you do this.
You may be exempt from paying the Medicare levy if you meet certain medical requirements or aren’t entitled to Medicare benefits.
