To have been eligible, you must have:
Eligible families receiving FTB Part A for a dependent child had until 30 June 2017 to tell us their child had started or finished primary or secondary study.
If you claimed FTB for the 2015–16 financial year as a lump sum, we checked your eligibility for this payment as part of your claim.
If you share the care of your child with another person, you would’ve received a percentage of this payment. This was based on the percentage of FTB you receive for your child.
Most eligible students had to provide their study details by 31 December 2016.
From 1 January 2016, eligible families or students received Schoolkids Bonus in 2 payments of:
Families with children or individual students may have received a School Leaver payment of Schoolkids Bonus.
You had to tell us that you or your child finished secondary studies between 1 July 2015 and 30 June 2016 to receive the payment.
Families and students were eligible for Schoolkids Bonus if they received an education allowance from DVA.
In these cases, DVA paid Schoolkids Bonus for the child. Read more about education schemes on the DVA website.
