Aged care processing over the holidays

There are special arrangements for aged care payments and letters over the holiday period.

Payments

The last payment processing of the year is on 22 December 2016. Normal payment processing resumes on 3 January 2017.

December advances are processed as usual, at the start of the month.

January advances are approved on 20 December 2016 and sent to the Reserve Bank of Australia on 21 December 2016.

Letters

The last letters of the year will be sent on 23 December 2016 and we’ll resume sending letters on 3 January 2017.

Availability

The Aged Care and Aged Care Means Testing phone line, 1800 227 475, will be available on 23, 29 and 30 December 2016.
