Help your patients receive their benefit payment from Medicare
From 1 July 2016, Medicare patient cheques are stopping. Encourage patients to register their bank details with us so they don’t miss out on their benefits.
Whether patients claim on the spot at your practice, online, over the phone or at a service centre, once their bank account details are registered, their Medicare benefit will be paid directly into their bank account.
The change does not include Pay Doctor Via Claimant (PDVC) cheques as these will continue.
From 1 July 2016, if we don’t have their bank details, patients may miss out on their benefits.
