We're changing our website design on 27 August 2017.

Short-term Restorative Care (STRC) is now available

STRC places are being progressively introduced to help older Australians stay independent and living in their homes.

Short Term Restorative Care (STRC) aims to reverse or slow ‘functional decline’ in older people and improve their wellbeing. This can happen without the need for a setback or hospital admission.

If you’re an approved STRC provider, you’ll need to send your monthly claims for subsidy on our paper claim form.

You’ll get a flexible care subsidy for each eligible STRC care recipient. The subsidy will be paid for up to a maximum of 56 days.

If you need help with the claiming process see the instructions on the front page of the Aged Care Entry Record form or the explanatory notes on the Claim for Subsidy form.

You can also phone us and select option 2.
