Bulk bill payments to health professionals

We no longer send cheques for bulk bill payments and the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) payments to health professionals.

You must provide your bank details to us to receive payment of your bulk bill claims and DVA claims through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

If you practice at more than 1 location you need to submit bank details for each location.

Bulk bill late lodgements

The Health Insurance Act 1973, section 20B(2)(b), states that a Medicare claim must be lodged with us within 2 years from the date of service.
