Carer Allowance income reviews are due by 30 June 2019
24 June 2019
Some carers may need to do an income review. Check if you need to and if you do, complete it now.
If you’re a carer we may have asked you to complete a review. This is because you must now meet an income test.
Your income must be less than $250,000 per year to get one of the following:
- Carer Allowance
- Carer Allowance Health Care Card.
If you have a partner, your and your partner’s combined income must also be below $250,000 per year.
If we’ve sent you a letter, you must do the review. If you don’t do it, your Carer Allowance will stop on 1 July 2019.
The easiest way to do the review is online. Use your Centrelink online account through myGov.
If you can’t do it online, you can complete the Carer Allowance adjusted taxable income details form. Submit your form and any documents we ask for in the form by doing one of the following:
- going to myGov, signing in to access your Centrelink online account and uploading the documents
- sending them to the address on the form
- lodging them at a service centre.
If we’ve sent you a letter, you need to do an income review. Complete it now.
