If you don’t already have one, register for a Centrelink online account through myGov. It’s the easiest and fastest way to interact with us. Discover what you can do online—like claim a student payment. You can also use the Express Plus Centrelink mobile app.
- Keep up to date with our latest news
Follow Student Update on Facebook and @StudentUpdateAU on Twitter to get the latest information about our payments and services. Don’t forget, you can ask questions about payments and eligibility—just keep your personal details private.
You can also subscribe to our eNewsletter, News for students and trainees. This means you’ll get a summary of news items sent directly to your email each month.
- Register for free SMS or email reminders
If you give us your mobile number or email, we’ll send you electronic messages. These might be reminders to provide documents or update your details. This helps to make sure we have everything we need to assess your claim and pay you the right amount.
- Tell us if things change
Use the Express Plus Centrelink mobile app or your Centrelink online account through myGov to tell us about changes. This includes changes to your address, study details, or if you start or stop work.
You need to tell us about changes within 14 days. If you don’t, it may affect your payment.
