If you don’t do your assessment by 23 September 2018, you’ll miss out and need to submit a full claim.
Child Care Subsidy started on 2 July 2018. We pay it directly to your provider to reduce the fees you pay.
The subsidy has replaced the previous child care payments we offered. To transition to the new subsidy you must complete a Child Care Subsidy assessment. If you don’t, you’ll miss out on any Child Care Subsidy you were eligible for from 2 July 2018.
It’s quick and easy to do the assessment – we’ll prefill any information you’ve already given us. Just follow these simple steps:
- Sign into your Centrelink online account through myGov
- Select the Complete your Child Care Subsidy assessment task
- Work through the steps to give us new information and confirm your current details
For help, use our online guide to complete your Child Care Subsidy assessment.
The assessment will only appear if you received a payment for approved care before 2 July. If you can’t see the assessment you’ll need to submit a new claim for Child Care Subsidy. New claims can only be backdated up to 28 days.
If you’ve already completed your assessment or a new claim, make sure you’ve confirmed your child’s enrolment details with us. We can’t pay Child Care Subsidy to your provider until you do this.
