It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month

4 October 2017

This October is an opportunity for Australians to focus on breast cancer and its impact on those affected.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Australian women. Over 17,000 women are likely to be diagnosed with this cancer in 2017.

If you, or someone you know, has had breast cancer surgery, there are services and payments to help.

You may be eligible for the External Breast Prostheses Reimbursement Program. The program helps with the cost of external breast prostheses.

Australians are encouraged to take the time this month to be aware of the early warning signs of breast cancer and share this important information with family, friends and colleagues. Find out more on the Cancer Australia website.
