We need your income details to make sure your child is still eligible for their payment.
We’ll send your child a letter in September or early October telling you what to do.
You won’t need to update your details if:
- your child doesn’t get a letter, or
- you or your partner got Family Tax Benefit in the 2016-17 financial year and you’ll get your Notice of Assessment from the ATO by 31 October
You need to update your income details if you won’t get your Notice of Assessment by 31 October.
You can update your details online using
- your Centrelink online account through myGov, or
- the Advise Parental Income service and the One Time Access Code in the letter
You need to do this for each of your children who get the letter. We’ll stop your child’s payment if you don’t tell us your income details on time.
