Want to know what payments and services you can get?

3 December 2018

Studying and not sure where to start? Payment and Service Finder can point you in the right direction.

Payment and Service Finder helps you find and compare payments. It can give you estimates for how much you might get. You can also use it to find local services.

You can use it on our website or in your Centrelink online account through myGov.

Find payments

Choose the ‘payments’ button to see which payments you may be eligible for and how much you can get.

We’ll ask you some questions about your age, circumstances and income. Based on your answers, we’ll let you know which payments might be right for you.

Student payments you may be able to get include Youth Allowance, Austudy and ABSTUDY.

Estimate rates

In the payments section of the tool, you can also see how much you might get.

You’ll need to provide estimates of your income and assets. If you’re under 22, we may also ask for your parents’ income and asset information. It’s a good idea to have this information before you start. Remember, you only need to provide estimates at this point.

If you’re using your Centrelink online account, the tool will use your details to answer some of the questions. But whether you use the website or the online account, we don’t keep any of the information you provide. You aren’t making a claim by using Payment and Service Finder.

Find services

Choose the ‘services’ button to find local services based on your situation.

These include:

  • education
  • employment
  • health
  • housing
  • legal services.

Select your state and the services you’re interested in.
