If you are a student in receipt of Youth Allowance, Austudy or ABSTUDY you need to report any income you receive from employment each fortnight.
Instructions on how students can report employment income with their Centrelink online account.
When you first get a payment, we’ll tell you when and how to report your income. If you have a partner you’ll also need to report their income, even if they don’t get a payment from us.
You must tell us if your or your partner’s income changes, even by a small amount. You must report any changes every fortnight.
To find out more, read about income reporting.
Step 1: get started
If you're not already in your Centrelink online account, sign into myGov and access your account.
From your homepage, select Report from the Report your employment income reminder. You can also select Start task from the Report your employment income task.
Or, select the menu icon, followed by Report Employment Income and Report.
