Instructions on how to update your managed investments, superannuation and funeral bond details with your Centrelink online account.
It’s important that you tell us when your circumstances change so we can correctly assess your eligibility for payments and services. This includes changes to your and your partner’s managed investments and superannuation details. Read more about the changes to your circumstances you need to tell us about.
Select add managed investments and superannuation when updating your income and assets details to edit, add or remove managed investments, superannuation and funeral bond details.
Step 1: view your managed investments and superannuation details and choose an action
Select add managed investments and superannuation when updating your income and assets details to view a list of your current managed investments, superannuation and funeral bond details.
Tell us about changes to your details by selecting:
- Edit pencil icon to update existing managed investment and superannuation details
- Remove bin icon to remove existing managed investment and superannuation details
- Add an investment to add new managed investment details
Step 2: update your managed investment and superannuation details
Edit existing managed investment details
Select the edit pencil action to update your existing investment or superannuation details.
Update the item with your new details and select Done to finalise.
Your updated details will appear in your managed investments and superannuation list.
Remove managed investment details
Select the Remove bin action to remove an existing investment.
You need to tell us the date your investment stopped. Use your keyboard to type the date or select the calendar icon to choose a date.
Select Done to finalise.
The details you removed will be greyed out in your managed investments and superannuation list.
Select Undo if you’ve removed the wrong details.
Add management investment details
Select add an investment and enter the details of your new investment. Depending on the type of investment you may also need to answer some questions.
Select Next to move to the next section.
Select Next when your managed investments and superannuation details are correct and up to date.
Step 3: review and submit your managed investment and superannuation details
Review the changes made to your managed investments and superannuation details and read the declaration.
If you agree with the information in the declaration, check accept this declaration.
Select Submit to confirm your updated managed investment and superannuation details.
We will provide you a receipt number when your update has been submitted.
We will also tell you if evidence is required to confirm your updates. You will have 14 days to provide evidence to us.

If you are making changes to other categories as part of your income and assets updates, you’ll be asked to update these next.
Read our step by step instructions on how to update your:
- savings details including any savings, cheque, deeming accounts, cash in hand, money loaned or deposit accounts
- share details
- real estate including real estate you manage or own
- other assets including personal effects, boats, caravans, life insurance, livestock and motor vehicles
- other income including lump sum payments, commissions, list interests, grants and scholarships, leave payments and regular gifts you may receive
Select Return to my profile to go back to the My profile page.
Select Home to return to your online account homepage.
Step 4: sign out
From your homepage you can complete other transactions or select the myGov icon to return to myGov.
For your privacy and security, sign out when you have finished using your myGov account.
If you have not logged in through myGov, select log out.
