Centrelink online accounts

How to view and update your details

You don’t always need to call or visit us to change your details. You can view, update or add information through your online account.

To view and update your Centrelink details, you can use either:

  • your Centrelink online account through myGov
  • the Express Plus Centrelink mobile app.

Carer details

You can view, update or add:

  • an absence from care
  • a child to adult transfer.

Family and child care details

You can view or update or add:

  • a newborn child - to complete your claim for Paid Parental Leave or Family Tax Benefit
  • child care details and payments
  • child education details
  • family income estimate and payment choices
  • non-lodgement of tax return
  • return to work details.

Employment and income details

You can view or update or add:

  • deductions for Centrepay and tax
  • income and assets including savings, shares and other assets
  • employment status
  • money you owe.

You can also:

  • report employment income
  • transfer funds to and from your Income Management account to your BasicsCard
  • cancel a current payment.

Personal details

You can view or update or add:

  • address, accommodation and contact details
  • nominee arrangements
  • parental income
  • payment destination details - where we send your payments
  • study details.

You can also subscribe to electronic email and SMS messaging.

You can complete these online:

  • Caring details review
  • Rent Assistance review
  • Special Benefit review
  • ncome stream review
  • Employment income review
  • Healthy Start for School review.
