When we’ll pay you

When we’ll pay you depends on your situation on 2 April 2019.

If you were getting an eligible payment on 2 April 2019

We’ll pay you between 14 June 2019 and 30 June 2019, if you were either:

  • residing in Australia on 2 April 2019
  • temporarily overseas on 2 April 2019.

You won’t get this payment if you were permanently overseas on 2 April 2019.

You don’t need to do anything or contact us.

If your payment was cancelled or suspended on 2 April 2019

We’ll pay you when your payment is restored, if we backdate it to include 2 April 2019.

You don’t need to do anything or contact us.

If you are waiting for the outcome of a claim on 2 April 2019

We’ll pay you when your payment is granted, if we backdate it to include 2 April 2019.

You don’t need to do anything or contact us.

If you were getting a nil rate of payment on 2 April 2019

You won’t get the Energy Assistance Payment.

If you get a Department of Veterans’ Affairs payment

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs will pay you if you are getting one of the following payments:

  • Service Pension
  • Income Support Supplement
  • relevant compensation payments.

They’ll pay you from 10 June 2019. Read more about what payments are eligible on the DVA website.
