Support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians who live in urban, rural, regional and remote communities to access our payments and services.
If you need help claiming our payments and services, you can talk to people who specialise in helping Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.
Indigenous Service Officers
We have a network of Indigenous Service Officers who work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians and communities as a connection point to the department. These officers can give you and your community information about our payments and services. They can let you know about any changes to these payments and services or refer you to other officers with the appropriate knowledge who can help you.
Remote Servicing Teams
These teams travel to remote areas throughout Australia to help with our payments and services. Indigenous Service Officers often travel as members of these teams.
Indigenous Customer Service Officers
These officers are located in some of our service centres. They can help you directly, or put you in touch with other service officers and community agencies.
