We provide free interpreter and translation services to help you do your business with us.
We have a national register of interpreters covering over 230 languages. If required, interpreters provide free on-site or telephone interpreting services. You can ask for an interpreter at any service centre.
Our interpreters follow a code of ethics. This means that the interpreter will not tell anyone else what you have discussed with them.
In some service centres, there may be bilingual staff who speak your language and can help with your enquiries.

To speak with someone about Medicare or Child Support services, call the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National).
If you are claiming one of our payments or services, we can translate documents you need for your claim, for free.
