Description of Measure

This measure restricts access to certain subsidised reproductive medicines under Reciprocal Health Care Agreements Australia maintains with other countries.

This measure relates to certain Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) subsidised Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) services and Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) subsidised In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) medicines.

Essential medical treatment continues to be available to eligible people visiting Australia from countries with which Australia has Reciprocal Health Care Agreements.
