I’m Amos and am part of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) ICT scheme.

I joined the department as part of its first intake in 2016 and work as a Functional Analyst in Canberra.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Biology and Biochemistry, Post graduate Certificate in Education and a Master’s degree in Information Technology (information systems).

As one of the STEM professionals, the department has provided me with ways to develop my skills in an area I am keenly interested in. I work with a talented team of individuals with in-depth knowledge and experience of the subject area. They regularly check on my progress, provide feedback and ensure that I’m meeting targets and expectations.

The department also offers training delivered by experienced providers. With my uni studies and training I continue to receive, I can apply my knowledge and skills to help Australians.

Away from the office I enjoy reading, watching sport, studying history, and watching science and technology documentaries.

I have enjoyed being part of the STEM ICT scheme and encourage others with similar interests and skills to apply.
