Work Health and Safety Policy
The Work Health and Safety (WHS) Policy outlines our WHS obligations to people who interact with us.
The policy applies to staff, contractors, other workers and customers.
It outlines the objectives and duties of the department as well as the duties of:
- staff and other workers
- officers, and
- other people
It covers our risk management process and how we consult with other WHS duty holders.
We are committed to complying with our WHS obligations set out in the:
We will, as far as is reasonably possible, ensure:
- your work health and safety, and
- that other people are not put at risk from work carried out for, or on behalf of, the department

Not complying with this policy may be considered misconduct. It may result in a breach of the APS Code of Conduct.

- a Health and Safety Representative
