All aged care recipients can now give access to financial details

New and existing care recipients can make their income and asset details available to their service provider.
Initially, the trial only included new aged care recipients. All care recipients can now do this through us.
New care recipients can give consent by filling out the relevant forms:
- Aged Care Fees Income Assessment form
- Permanent Residential Aged Care – Request for a Combined Assets and Income form
Care recipients that are already in care can complete the:
A care recipient or their nominee can withdraw this consent at any time.
Giving consent helps resolve cases where the means testing letter the care recipient gets doesn’t align with the service’s understanding of the care recipient’s finances.
If a care recipient has given their consent, you can request their financial information by emailing us.
We’ll usually send details to you within 28 days.
