Do your aged care recipients know about respite care days?

9 March 2018

Care recipients can get up to 63 days of residential respite care each financial year.

An Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) can assess a care recipient that needs to access residential respite care.

In some situations, the care recipient can apply to an ACAT for an extension of up to 21 days.

You can check a care recipient’s respite day balances on your payment statement on Aged Care Online Claiming.

Go to Home » Claim search » Claim selection » View payment statement » Care recipient details.
