We’re trialling a process where new care recipients can give their service provider access to their income and assets details.
The idea is to make it easier to resolve cases where the means testing letter the care recipient gets doesn’t align with the aged care service’s understanding of the care recipient’s financial situation.
New care recipients or their nominee can give aged care providers access to their financial information through us.
They’ll need to give consent by filling out the relevant forms:
- Aged Care Fees Income Assessment (SA456)
- Permanent Residential Aged Care – Request for a Combined Assets and Income (SA457)
The process for care recipients already in care is still being determined.
A care recipient or their nominee can withdraw this consent at any time.
To request financial information for a care recipient where the care recipient has provided their consent, a service provider needs to email us
We’ll usually send details to the provider within 28 days.
