Payment update for the Supported Resident Ratio

You should see changes to the supported resident ratio payment in your next claim.

We’ve updated our system to make sure the supported resident ratio and the associated payments for some Residential Aged Care Services are adjusted when needed.

This is sometimes needed because of excess social leave.

The system update recalculates the ratio for affected services. It creates adjustment payments for care recipients where the corrected ratio is over the 40% threshold.

The adjustment payments are in the calculations for a claim submitted after 28 October 2017.

You can see them in the care recipient line data on your payment statement.

We won’t generate a supported resident ratio adjustment summary for these changes.
