We’re improving the Location Specific Provider Number system

From July 2019, you’ll find it easier to manage your LSPN.

We’ve created new functions in HPOS so you can manage your LSPN without needing to contact us.

Using HPOS, you can now:

  • maintain and update details for your LSPN
  • look up your equipment list or list of MRI providers
  • update basic contact details and nominate up to two authorised representatives
  • if you’re a registered practice staff, view LSPN details and look up your equipment list or list of MRI providers.

The way you request or amend an LSPN is the same however, we’ve combined the HW072 form into the new HW061 form.

Please make sure you link your LSPN to your HPOS account by completing the new form.

You can also ask us to link your LSPN to your HPOS account by calling 1800 620 589.

Remember, to apply for Medicare benefits your practice must register for a LSPN and be accredited.
