Adding or updating authorised representative and mailing address details

You must have administrator access to add or update mailing details or authorised representatives.

You can view a list of authorised representatives from the Contact Details tab.

You can make changes to the LSPN using the Register for or amend a Location Specific Practice Number form.

Add or update authorised representative

Step 1

View your LSPN in HPOS

Select Manage for the LSPN number you want to update.

Select the Contact Details tab.

Select Add to add an authorised representative or select Update to make changes to the existing details.

Step 4

Complete the relevant fields in the Contact Details screen.

Note: ensure you don’t exceed 30 characters in the Position field.

Select Save.

Select Submit to confirm your changes.

Update mailing address

Step 1

View your LSPN in HPOS

Select Manage for the LSPN number you want to update.

Step 2

On the Contact Details tab. 

Complete the fields under Mailing Address.

Note: Ensure you don’t exceed 30 characters in the Building or Department and Property fields.

Select Submit to confirm your changes.

Note: if you get an error message ‘Mailing address could not be matched to a valid address’ this means the mailing address you’ve keyed doesn’t align with information from Australia Post.

To update a mailing address that doesn’t match Australia Post’s records, you’ll need to submit the Register for or amend a Location Specific Practice Number form.

Step 4

A confirmation page will display, review your changes.

Select Save to finalise your changes.

Note:

We’re investigating techical issues that are impacting the following:

  • Not all Authorised Representative details are displayed on the confirmation page. However, the system will register all changes made except for PO Box addresses.
  • To update a PO Box mailing address, you’ll need to submit the Register for or amend a Location Specific Practice Number form.
  • When you’re updating other LSPN details, you may get the error message ‘Street Address required’. To override this error message, enter the mailing address details again, noting that a PO Box address won’t be saved by the system.
  • If your LSPN address details contain incorrect information, please contact the department at LSPN@humanservices.gov.au.
